Road safety
How shameful the tragic count of those
Who meet foul death while traveling by road
At any time of the day or night who knows
Whatever that dread presence may forebode?
It waits at every turn and each road junction
They seemingly presents no sign at all
That there a lack of care or concretion
Invites the reapers sad and bleeding haul
Without a driver trained to higher standards
Of 'advanced' who maintain those throughout
Each journey will present many hazards
Lurking there just waiting to jump out!
Dont be a quiet passager to a reckless driver. Your life and that of others matters
Pay close attention to your driver.see
If one of the ' advanced' he seems to be is seen in his driving. If no stop the vehicle and board another one. It's not how much the driver is famous, but how safely he drives.
I have to end there, because the poem has to be short, but my dreams are not short, to have safe roads one day.
I will finish by saying, it's better a minute late than dead on time. Leave sooner, drive slower, live long.
Kioko poetry.
