In this moment of great change, the Glory of this nation lies in the strength of your resolve to wage the war for peace. Perhap
s if Mzee JOMO Kenyatta built an all inclusive nation, our history could have been different. Perhaps if Mzee Moi was flexible, our days would have been better. Perhaps if His Exc. Kibaki conceded defeat, our nation would be more cohesive. It questions we have been led to ask. The wrong questions. And we fail to ask the right question. What would it mean to our children if they read, at this moment, in this election, in this generation, ordinary Citizens, campus students and quarry workers, the poor and the rich, tribes and communities, resolved to stand together, work together and face the challenges as one people. Against all odds, without resources, without position, with only one thing, that solemn believe in a better future, a better nation. What if they read, we committed, that the Glory of this nation shall be borne in our lecture halls, farms and industries. What if they read, in this moment, we chose a path of Peace, with respect for our diversity and tolerance for divergent views. I choose to brace myself to my duty. I will volunteer my best talents and abilities to the service of this nation. For I got faith in our course, unconquerable will power and the task before us is not above our strength. @Servant Ibrahim Ng'ang'a #Kenyans4Peace @196_as_one_Peace_DialoguesÂ
